Clumsy but no wrecks. Activity
This ride went a lot smoother, no wipe-outs. Tons of awkward stares and open mouth gaping stares. I can't see that I blame them. If you could see the difficult time I have staring... I'd laugh too.

It ain't fun, unless you bleed. Activity
I bought a Vision R-40 SWB recumbent yesterday evening and took my first official recumbent ride today. If you notice the sudden down-spike in speed between mile 1 and 2, that was me eating pavement. I know what you are asking yourself... the answer is yes, I cried like a little baby. The accident wasn't really that bad, I just laid it over when trying to merge onto a sidewalk. I got a small scrape on my knee... you should see the pavement, it took a beating. Hopefully the times will improve, because this nearly added 10 minutes to my commute.

nothing real witty to say here... Activity
Again a strong head wind and crazy drivers. I've noticed that every driver who likes to give me heart attacks are women... is this a strange coincidence? I'm not picking on female drivers; just merely stating a fact.

again playing catch-up on past rides: this time I made great time, except for the traffic Activity
Ha ha, the wind at my back on the way home... it sure made for an easier ride. I felt like a could keep the pace up around 17-20 mph (that is if I didn't have to keep slamming on the breaks for crazy drivers who don't bother to look a traffic before pulling through intersections).

Playing catch-up on my past rides... this ride to work was more mentally tough than anything else. Activity
A killer headwind, and a severe lack of motivation made this an exercise of mind power.

OK wait. If you guys are really us, what number are we thinking of? Activity
Strange things are afoot at the circle k. Epic cart ride to the "k" and back; included: 1 - hot dog 1 - pepsi max 1 - cherry icee -1 - corn dough dog -6 - egg salad sandwiches 1 - shooting the slaloms 1 - running the gauntlet 0 - "you can't do that"

Tough ride to work, soggy ride home... all around a good time. Activity
I fun ride with a "brief" stop for work around the 6th mile. I'm guessing around an 11 mph average. The ride into work really beat me up, but the ride home was great (albeit a little soggy).

Thanks a lot to Kyle for the entertainment. Next time you wipe out, please wipe out in front of me so that I can enjoy the moment more. Activity
Trip from work to Mike's house in Grant, FL. Mike, Kyle, and myself taking the journey. Kyle wrecked just before mile 4, warped his front tire and had to call for help. He later claimed he rode his bike back home... too bad he missed the bum fight at mile 7.7 and the sweedish bikini team at mile 14.

First ride into work of the year. Activity
Test of actually having the GPS set up correctly. Looks like it turned out ok, just need to figure out how to get BiMActive to use the elevation from the .gpx file instead of usgs.

Strong winds from the east. Pulling 1 little boy in trailer looking for a playground. Activity

Not sure if the details are correct, but it still gets the idea across. Activity
Not sure how long. Picked up Kyle rode over 192 causeway to beach. Rode up riverside to Eau Gallie causeway and back over to babcock. Stopped at TSC for a smoothie. |
