Hotter than Hell. I tried the 100 mile route and did not succeed. Lesson learned, never eat eggs before a big ride. Especially NOT WITH SALSA!! What was I thinking? I got to the rest stop at mile 52 and was a hurting cowboy. If not for that, I think I would have finished. On the positive side, I was able to hang out with my son for several hours at the consumer show. And it's on Saturday that the best deals are to be found.
Also, major props to the Bates, Steve and Pam, and Tom Bick. They set a very quick pace at the start and drug me along for about the 1st 15-20 miles.
